💭 For me, Hive means… opportunity. I started learning to code on my own at home, but quickly realized it would take a long time to get where I wanted. I searched for “koodarikoulu” on Google, and Hive popped up as one of the first results. It immediately stood out – the concept sounded excellent, and I knew I had to apply.

🏆 Today, I am proud of… the time I spent diving into short-term projects like game jams, hackathons, and “rushes” organized by the Hive staff. These extracurriculars were some of my most memorable experiences – collaborating with other Hivers, trying out new languages, and exploring new ideas was both fun and inspiring.

💡 If I had to give one piece of advice, it would be… to use your skills to make a real-world impact. Right now, I’m working at Nokia, writing and maintaining C++ and Rust codebases focused on performance and scalability. One thing I’d love to solve is reducing the carbon footprint of high-load software – improving efficiency through smarter code, maybe even rewriting critical parts in Rust, could make a big difference.
